Simatek acquired global Fabric Filter business from FLSmidth

Soroe, Denmark, 23^rd December 2020 – Simatek A/S, a leading manufacturer of industrial air filtration solutions, acquired FLSmidth’s global Fabric Filter business

Simatek bought all intellectual property (IP) rights to FLSmidth’s Fabric Filter business and the entities in Denmark and India, to market and supply bag filters globally. As part of the transaction, Simatek also became FLSmidth’s global supplier of fabric filters. FLSmidth’s AFT® (Advanced Filtration Technology) became a supplier of bags and cages to Simatek for the cement industry.

This acquisition was an important step for Simatek towards becoming a leading supplier of air filtration technology. Simatek strengthened its product range and bag filter technology, and expanded into the inorganic minerals industry. The acquisition strengthened the organisation, and customers benefit from the synergies between the combined product portfolios.

FLSmidth partners with Simatek to continue to provide unique fabric filter solutions to the customers.

The two parties agreed not to disclose the financial details around the acquisition.
